Am I the only one who has a problem with such young girls wanting to be "sexy."? Lately these days young girls even as young as 12 are always going around saying things like "I want to look sexy" and all this stuff.

They also take pictures of themselves and say "Look at me, I'm sexy!." Why? Why would you want to be "sexy" at such a young age, I doubt you even know what sexy is.

I don't know, it just weirds me out. When I was young, the last thing on my mind was being sexy. Yikes.

My neices are 13 and 15, up until the beginning of the year they were typical kids that didnt care. Now they take longer getting ready for a normal day than what I do for a night out.

When you look at kids these days you can't tell how old they are with the amount of make-up they're wearing.

As you said when you was a kid "looking sexy" wasnt thought about, same went for me.

At 12/13 all I was worried about was getting home in time so I wouldnt get grounded

Not only is it the kids who want them to be "sexy" so must the parents as to allow their kids to dress like that.

The media is the worst for it.
Plus peer pressure doesnt help either.

The media dont give the kids money to buy the clothes. Parents are meant to be responsible for their kids. I know kids want to pick their own clothes, but surely the adult with them can give advise as to what is appropriate.

Maybe Im just "not cool"

I can't stand how I pass some store like Limited Too and see that the clothes for girls in grade 3-4 are the same as the clothes I see many (slutty) teenagers wearing.

I think that just because they're younger and don't have the same 'sexual drive' as the older girls do, it doesn't mean they suddenly need to be showing more skin and such just because the older girls do so. I hate it!

I remember I wore cute little matching outfits with ladybugs and butterflies

It's bad around here, when you go into town on a weekend night theres girls getting into clubs and pubs and you can tell they're only young, but they dont get asked for i.d because of the things they're wearing an stuff like that.
There is too much pressure on young girls today to look good.

I know what you mean,my daughter has decided that it is vitally important to try and leave the house for school with a skirt up to her a**e and tons of makeup!(She is in the first year of secondary school)I have managed to catch her every day so far and she should be running out skirts soon but there may come a day where she manages to escape my eagle eye.Having asked her why she is dressing like that her answer is to simply look bored as she tells me "its no big deal mum this is how everyone dresses!"
