Well, you do have a point there...

So let's flip it around -- Do liberals have room for conservatives?

i think by definition a liberal has to have room for conservatives.
or else who would he get to act stupid for?

By definition, yes.

But one main reason I'm not a liberal is because of how I'm often treated. Many Democrats seem to turn there snooty noses up at my "outdated" thinking if I don't conform. And I do hate conformity. Most can't handle a debate without getting all mad and going off on a hissy fit, so my experience has taught me. Walk like us, talk like us, think like us. Um, nope.

Glad to know that's not the case all across the board though.

That's why I'm almost independent, may be one day. Only thing is the Republicans agree with me on everything (heh heh, it all revolves around ME!!!), so it's kind of hard not to be associated.

I have a friend that does the same thing Panetti...I cannot get into a discussion with him about politics, I feel as though I am about to lose a friend..Its crazy...
I think there are room for both of us..i do not feel smothered...An exception is college campuses. Almost all college campus are majortively liberal...and in the administration (teachers, professors) almost 100% liberal so it is hard sometimes to speak your point. But that is a personal problem..I should not be afraid to speak my mind...

hmmmm

I can agree that there are alot of liberals with the snotty-nose better than you attitude. I am not one. I work out with a liberal, and ride bikes with a conservative.

You see alot of the snotty-liberals in education. They are ofton arrogant, which i hate.

So I apologize to you from any liberal-mistreatment.

haha.. i said liberal-mistreatment.....

I also had conformity, but you have to do it to drive.

hate conformity,

Note to self:
"conform to the norms of the forum and use the preview button"

PS to Note to self:
"ask for a spell checker for this forum"

not that it would have helped because had is spelled correct, not used correct.

No one knows whether I am a conservative or liberal. Much research has been done in the topic... but to no avail. The reason I am so twisted is that I am the prodcut of an Army Officer and Hard-core southern conservative. My father is the most cool headed man I know, but being an army brat seems to lean people toward liberalism... at least for me it has.

Bascially, I belong to the party of Cade. members: 1.

Every male, and my older sister has been in the military. My father was a marine, and in the air force. He was a liberal beer drinker. I think i started out more conservative, but my experience has lead me away from it. I see conservatives as judgemental in general, and having the goal of removing the curses of society(most liberal views). I support buisness having rights over their employees, and i don't like unions. I am against gun control. I am for gay marriage rights. I support the usa being multi-religion. I don't have a god preference. I think children should be taught about sex, and provided a means to be safe. I think you should be able to vote and drink and join the army all on the same day. I think polygamy is bad for kids. I feel that if an issue in society is important enough to vote on it should have to have 75 percent to pass.
I think that people should have the right to do drugs if they wish. I think if you drink booze and disagree with that your a hippocrite.
