I swear life is too complicated for me I should have been a stay home mum. When i look at my own Mother, i want the life she had when she was my age

Not that i think staying home is a lazy option. Way back in the early 70's before freezers and microwaves were in every home, Mum would go shopping every day, she would bake from scratch and be extremely proud every night of her work. She kept a good house, well ordered, she had a fantastic routine going.

Dad worked he provided for us all. Mum took care of us kids and Dad and she was happy doing it. She had lots of freinds she would visit during the day or they would come over. She organised a play group for toddlers. She isnt religious in the slightest but she would always be doing something up the church hall for the community. She was never bored.

And she would help out if we were having a street party, she would work with the whole street to keep the neighbourhood nice.

I knew every single person down our street and they knew me and my brothers too.

Things have changed so much its sad

Its an awesome city, very cosmopolitan. The outer part of London is quite rough but central London is kept nice. The parks are great.

I know as children we probably had a rose tinted, space hopper view of life

I just wish it wasnt a crime against feminisim to just want to be a wife and mother Anyway f*** that I speak out, thats what i want! I doubt i will get it, but thats my ideal

Our house was the same, my mum never baked but she is a great cook, as is my dad, he would get up early in the morning and go to the butchers and the bakers for fresh meat and rolls, bread etc - he was a fisherman at the time and we always had a plentyful supply of fresh fish, everything was cooked from scratch, no ready meals, no tv dinners, nothing put in a microwave

Now most people are too lazy to cook, everything goes into the micro, everything is bland and and tastes the same, its going to be even worse when the ASBO class become the parent generation

Commuinity is dead here now, people are too scared to talk to each other. They are worried they will either run into someone really aggresive or be accused of being nosey.

Oh and Brainfarmer, i was the same, i would ride my bike for fecking miles every day, funny because being in the house was a punishment as soon as my time was done i would be outta there with my mates immediately
