Public entry LAPTOP WORKS!
December 07, 2009 @ 10:26:12 pm
So my girlfriend and I moved out of our apartment a couple of months ago and moved in with my family. I left my sort of old laptop in a box in the garage and was considering keeping it there forever. A while ago, when my laptop ran perfectly, my sisters computer broke. While it was at geek squad or whatever, she used my laptop. She preceded to install limewire and began downloading thousands of songs. When I found out, I told her she could never touch my computer again, and since that time, my laptop has been loaded with viruses.

I carried on with my search for an absolutely bad a** computer today. I posted some specs on a thread under PC's so go check it out and tell me what you think. So far, I've gotten a lot of, "wow thats way too much computer" but I want a machine that will have ample speed, and memory to last me a long time, at least longer than any other pc I've had, so putting the extra cash into seems worth it. I've also heard that I'll need a better graphics card, so I'll keep looking.

Helped the little cuz with homework again, he's starting to get it finally.

slow day on tfs, slow day all around. I'm really bored.

Public entry Inspiration
December 01, 2009 @ 09:23:31 am
Today has been one of the most inspiring days of my life. First, it started with (I know I've already mentioned this) helping my little cousin out with math. I can't get this out of my head because I, myself was horrible at math. It took me 3 semesters to pass College Algebra 1, and here I am, successfully tutoring my younger cousin in the pre-cursors of algebra! I don't know where it comes from, but for some reason, I am able to communicate with him in ways that no one else in the family can! It feels good to help a troubled kid, especially in the family.

Next, I read a post on TFS that someone had bravely put up. I won't link the post, or say who posted it, but I will say that it was great to read. This person is sick, and has been for almost their whole life. This person is dying, and is so brave for just...SAYING SO! It's such a tough topic, even just to read, that it's inspiring to get a real outlook on life. How short life is, even when it's not cut short by illness or murder or an accident. Truly don't forget how valuable life is, and how the people we care about will in fact miss us, and vice versa. To whom ever wrote the post, I commend you. You are a brave person.

Lastly, I read a short story posted on TFS written by a 17 year old. I was skeptical at first, but after reading it, and thinking about it, he did an A+ job in my book. I don't know the knicks and knacks of grammar, spelling, sentence structure, or literary devices but his story was gripping, interesting and entertaining. Well done sir! You too have inspired me! I'm not a good writer, but maybe I'l start dabbling in it!

What a day

Public entry what a day!

Today was great! After sleeping in and being lazy, I picked up my little cousin from school and then helped him with his homework. He did such a good job finally! It's good to see he can be successful if he just stays patient and PAYS ATTENTION! I felt very good after helping him, especially in math because in my history, I was very bad at it. Anyways, we had tickets to the Mavs game, so I took him and bought him a cap for doing so well. Also, I told him I'd never buy him anything again a while ago, but being Christmas, and for him doing so well, I thought he deserved it.

The game was great. He and I got on the Jumbo-tron, and then got interviewed by "Skin", the local Mavs reporter! It was his first game, and we won by a buzzer-beater!

So awesome!

It's good to wake up to bacon and eggs, football on two channels, and Star Wars on the other channel!

Plus it's cold and rainy outside! Good day to be lazy
