| Apparently, while I was at work today, some firemen came round the house and supplied and fitted a couple of smoke alarms (even though we already had one), completely free of charge. Cool. | |

I just had a really nice shower and now I'm gonna grab a couple of beers and some nibbles and settle down on the sofa in time for American Idol.  Go Crystal! | |

North Weald airfield to be exact, to spend the day topping up my sunburn in the company of World War II pilots and aeroplanes. To be honest I'm only really interested in the aeroplanes. I admire the pilots and have huge respect for them and what they did for us, but the sad truth is that octogenarian human males are not as pleasing to the eye as Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mustangs, etc.  It's all in aid of Help for Heroes and the Sydney Camm Trust. Should be a cracking day. | |

I'm at work and we had the year-end stock take yesterday so I can't do anything until it's all been reconciled. There's really not much point being here.  | |

I shall be trying to satisfy my snowboarding desires for a little while , in exotic Milton Keynes! I'll be trying not to break any bones while attempting ramps and rails etc. This could all end very painfully!  | |

It usually takes me 25 minutes to get to work, but today it took an hour and a half to drive the 9 miles. That's an average speed of 6 mph. All because there are idiots out there who don't appear to have noticed it's icy and have gone round crashing everywhere blocking up the roads. FFS, learn to drive or stay off the roads!  | |
