Over the past 3 or 4 days I've been fighting with a mild headache. Yesterday I lost the battle. No amount of panadol helped - I was forced to call a retreat and pack the panadol back in the cupboard. My hand was forced, now I had to pull out the big guns. Amcal's Super Pain Plus. My supplier was out of the special ammo but had some of the more expensive stuff; Mersyndol. I'm a creature of habit, I like to stick with things I know work. Grudgingly I took the pills and headed home to formulate my new attack.
The migraine by this time had spread from the back of my head, to my forehead, eyes and was starting to seep into my stomach. Anyone who's ever had a migraine will tell you if you get one in your stomach you might as well just sleep in the loo. Vomiting helps a bit but its just unpleasant to say the least.
I scarf down some KFC then take my two pills then go laid down.
I woke this morning victorious to the migraine but still tender - battle wounds from a migraine can trigger another attack.
Today I am going to rest and enjoy the breeze. Hope everyone out there in forum land has a great day. | |

Meister 1235 points | I'm a sucker for punishment - I'm already working on my 2nd cup of coffee. I tend to get headaches and migraines from lack of water, caffeine, food, or too much sunlight, heat, and stress.
This migraine was dehydration. I hate water but know I have to drink it. If i drink 200 ml of water a day i've done more than usual. my goal is 4 glasses a day if i can stomach it. things do always go as planned.
Today I plan to enjoy my coffee then spend the rest of the day eating fruit, drinking water and relaxing.
thanks for your kind words angelcake - i've got a few apples in the cupboard so instead of letting them whither and rot i'll eat them while i lay in front of my sliding gla** door enjoying the last of the winter breeze |
