Public entry Dieting, the Tony Ferguson Way
December 30, 2006 @ 10:09:54 pm
On Friday I started the Tony Ferguson Diet, the shakes are very tasty but the food restrictions are somewhat difficult and I'm not a creative cook....

Public entry The Day After a Migraine
October 11, 2006 @ 11:19:47 pm
Over the past 3 or 4 days I've been fighting with a mild headache. Yesterday I lost the battle. No amount of panadol helped - I was forced to call a retreat and pack the panadol back in the cupboard. My hand was forced, now I had to pull out the big guns. Amcal's Super Pain Plus. My supplier was out of the special ammo but had some of the more expensive stuff; Mersyndol. I'm a creature of habit, I like to stick with things I know work. Grudgingly I took the pills and headed home to formulate my new attack.
The migraine by this time had spread from the back of my head, to my forehead, eyes and was starting to seep into my stomach. Anyone who's ever had a migraine will tell you if you get one in your stomach you might as well just sleep in the loo. Vomiting helps a bit but its just unpleasant to say the least.
I scarf down some KFC then take my two pills then go laid down.
I woke this morning victorious to the migraine but still tender - battle wounds from a migraine can trigger another attack.

Today I am going to rest and enjoy the breeze. Hope everyone out there in forum land has a great day.

Public entry All fired up...but ran out of steam
October 05, 2006 @ 01:08:15 am
I get up this morning full of energy, excitement, enthusiasm and spunk I decide I'm going to start my day with a nice cuppa on the front porch with hubby then dig my heels into the housework.
I've got a s**tload of laundry that needs to be put away and a few loads that have been waiting a while to be washed Laundry is one of many banes of my existance. Cat box, dishes, and vacuuming are some more. The more you clean, the more dirt you find. Just don't clean and you won't find any dirt!
Sooo, I make the bed, pour (and i mean this literally) two laundry baskets of clean clothes on the bed. From there I remove all dirty laundry from the room then decide I want to vacuum incase the clothes from the bed fall to the floor - I have two cats and a house dog (chihauhau) and they leave hair everywhere (I'm really surprised they're not bald by now from the amount they shed). I drag the vacuum down the hallway, plug it in, the cord drapes from the bathroom down the hall into the bedroom. I get so into vacuuming I start moving the freaking furniture! What the hell was I thinking...Now I've got the bug up my bum to move the portable closets. With the reluctant help of hubby we move the large wood closet from his now computer room, around the tight corner and then through the obstacle course of a bedroom and tuck it into the corner wall. Yeah! Its done!
Ooops the bed still has a mound of clothes on it .... nooo noo noooo. I dont wann do anymore.
Suddenly there's a faint BeepBeepBeepBeep.
The washing machine is done. For the love of god! What have I got myself into!
I trek downstairs and start a fresh load (am I insane? i think so) then trek back up with fresh 'to do' laundry. Yep, it goes straight on the bed. I like to fold towels, they're easy and quick....but not when you have about 20 of them!
Hubby comes in and looks for a place to take a nap - its 930 in the morning! I make a half-a** attempt at hanging some clothes then give up and move the hangers from under his sleeping head and go make another cuppa.
I'm bushed! I've got sweat everywhere and i'm not happy that the more i clean...the more I find to do. FOR F*&# SAKE!!!! I need to hire a maid.
I've since had a shower, done my hair, and thrown on another load of washing. I can still hear the dishwasher going in the background...I dont mind dishes so much thanks to having a machine that washes them for me.
It's now 11am and I'm holding out for lunch time at Hungry Jacks then its off to work for a late shift.

Yeah, there's still a huge pile of clothes on the bed. Hubby will have to finish what I started *mwuahaha*
