So as it Turned Out
October 03, 2008 @ 08:03:11 pm
My relative who was in a coma is now dead.
Well, I'm pretty sure he is, I heard my mum talk about him in the past tense and my grandmother came over today, not looking particularly happy as you can imagine. We're quite a small family so we were all fairly close, so it's come as a bit of a shock really.
Still, am remaining philosophical about the whole thing, the whole death process is interesting to think about, not fun to, but still when things like this happen it's good to think about why, etc.

Anyway, just thought I would like to say RIP to Frederico, will miss you.

Some Stuff
October 02, 2008 @ 07:35:09 pm
Hmm, lots to think about at the moment.
For one thing, one of my relatives is in hospital again. He's had some trouble with his heart and stuff before (what stuff I have no idea, my mum won't tell me much), but this time his heart has gone a bit mad and he's now in a coma, so I hear anyway. He's quite old as well so these complications could prove fatal-not good.

So there's that.

Then it seems that my group at College has already started to change, but not really for the better, or at least I don't think so anyway, but then I would say that. *rambling* I seem to be getting left out of everything lately, though to be fair they probably don't notice so it's hardly their fault, but every time I go into the room with them I just feel slightly unwanted. I mean, there's a couple of new people who i get on really well with, but even by best friend at the minute hardly speaks to me. I'm beginning to think I've done something wrong, but I can't quite place what.
Teen drama eh?

Hmm and to add to the drama, am starting to question one of my friendships, but in a good way.. I guess. But then it's not like that situation is new, just we've both grown up a bit and don't have all the aggro from our old friends.

Aaaanyway, am looking forward to the weekend, tomorrow am going into the new towny place with my best friend and some people, I really need to just talk to him and just relax a bit. Oh and I start my new 2nd job on Saturday too, I now work in a Fish and Chips shop as well as the flower shop. (I never thought I would say that, but hey money's money)

Londony Things
September 30, 2008 @ 07:13:23 pm
My Politics cla** and I went to Westminster today to talk to an MP and have a tour of the houses of Commons and Lords. London itself is rather beautiful, there are so many old buildings that just look stunning, even in the pouring rain We ended up speaking to a member of Parliament from some Northern Constituency, who really didn't seem to know what he was talking about, particularly when faced with questions about the economy and how Labour was going to fix it. Typical politician, evade the question. So that was an hour of my life I will never get back.

But the tour of the chambers was brilliant. The House of Lords seems so extravagant, all plush pink seats and gold and portraits hanging everywhere, it's weird to see that politicians use it for talking in. We then saw the House of Commons and Westminster Hall, both very beautiful and full of culture.

But yeah, the trip would have been great if it wasn't about Politics, loads of people in my cla** seem a bit pretentious and snobbish, unfortunately. Still, was quite a nice day in all, and got me out of Psychology.

Woo! About Time
September 12, 2008 @ 05:31:52 pm
I've FINALLY managed to get a part time job, but that was a lot of hard work for nothing in the end. I've been applying everywhere for jobs and not getting any response for weeks, or getting rejected, when it turns out all I had to do was go to my local flower shop and ask if they needed any part time staff. So I now work at a flower shop on Saturdays
I doubt the money is very good but at least it's a start

Hmm
September 07, 2008 @ 12:25:38 am
I don't really know what to make of it all really. He says one thing and it seems one way, then I hear something that completely contradicts it, I don't even know why I bother, it's too much hassle anyway.
*stupid bloody parties, they mess everything up.*

On the brighter side though, at least tonight was good, different, but good. Went to The Croft to see The Horrors do an impromptu DJ set, as well as a couple of bands that are some of the most bizarre I have seen thus far. One of them was very psychedelic, you could imagine wandering through a forest and being dizzy whilst listening to them. Then there was this other band that were beautifully dissonant and haunting, slightly reminiscent of Siouxsie and the Banshees. But yeah, was a very relaxed night, though I'm not looking forward to seeing him on Monday.
Ah well, I can worry about that tomorrow I suppose. Hope everyone has a good night and/or day depending on where you are.

Phew
August 30, 2008 @ 01:09:20 am
Am SO glad he's not mad at me and still wants to speak to me, I thought that after the house party that he would think I was a freak, but I guess I worry too much.. And I've been beating myself up over it for 3 days now, if I'd have known he just didn't check his texts until today I wouldn't have been so stressed. (Sorry I know nobody particular cares about my social life, but then again nobody reads these anyway so I guess it's alright.)
Amongst my other worries I've downloaded so many job application forms that they've all kind of melded into one pile, and they're not in the right order! oops..
Ah well, at least my first day at College wasn't too bad, though am a bit terrified as to how hard A Levels are going to be, they basically rammed it down our throats that they're the hardest exams we will ever have to take, which is very reassuring..

Anyway, enough muttering from a blithering fool such as myself, good night/morning.

So..
August 28, 2008 @ 04:46:08 pm
I start college tomorrow, am a bit terrified, I like the building and I'm so looking forward to my classes but it's just the whole having to make friends thing again that I think will take a while. Hopefully it'll be worth it though. It seems really daunting, particularly tomorrow, first impressions and all, and I'm not the most outgoing person in the world. And not only that but after a house party last night (that I'm still recovering from ) I may have wrecked a really good friendship I already had. Joy.
Somebody should just gaffertape my mouth shut.

Results at Last!
August 21, 2008 @ 05:00:31 pm
I got my GCSE results today, and about time too! It seems like ages ago I even did the exams, so it was great to finally stop worrying about them. As it turns out, I did a bit better than I had expected..

4 A*
History, Religious Studies, English Language and English Literature
5 A
Citizenship, Music, Geography, Science and Additional Science
and a B for Maths- I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad I passed, in my mock exam at christmas I had previously gotten a U, so I am shocked that I never actually have to do maths ever again! :D

That means I get to do all the courses at College that I want to without worrying about catch-up classes or anything, and can now enjoy the rest of the summer before College starts next week

Why
July 16, 2008 @ 07:29:48 pm
Did I ever think learning to play the cello again was a good idea?
I can't seem to manage to tune the bloody thing, let alone play anything on it! Every time I think I've got it right, the string slips and I have to start all over again. And I thought it was going to be relatively non-stressful..
