Maybe try replacement theropy. For example every time you feel like a smoke, chew some chewing gum. I know it's not the same, but to me anyway, the main attraction of smoking is the physical, emotional action. The nicotine can be replaced with the patches. |

Monk 35945 points | I have used everything but the tablets before and the best was an inhaler.
I want to quit but like you am not ready and things aren't quite right in my life to do so yet.
I wish you all the best of luck |

Debater 6819 points | I don't think it's the nicotine. It's just the habit of having something in your hand.... Specially
in a stressful time. I know somebody who quit 6 months ago. It's working... He just woke up
and decided that... It took him 48 hours to kill the urge of having another cigarette in his
hand. After that, the urge came back once every week and faded after two months...
Anyway, I put a specific date, still one more year... I think I will manage by then... I hope...
Good luck to you. it's a great step to do. Life changing...

Über-Monkey 57199 points | | Alot of the time the knowledge that your never going to smoke another ciggarette is the thing that makes it dificult to quit. So quiting for a week, for example, with the knowledge you can have another one a week later might be helpful. |
