I once did the wrong homework (I was looking a day ahead at the syllabus) and got detention for it. I feel your pain.

I alays had this problem. id go to work around 3 AM after getting off around midnight so my teachers understood. they knew I worked a lot and would turn the work in later that day with no problems.
