Power Play

I announced this morning that I'm taking an extra day off with my upcoming vacation (July 18 - July 27). And then Mr. Smarty Pants (who is already pissed off that I decided NOT to cancel) pulled a power play on me. It's not going to work

A document execution package went out on a day I was out of the office. We just got it back. It would appear that some things weren't done correctly. Mr. Smarty Pants came over to my office in a huff pitching a fit about how hard it is when I'm out of the office and everything goes wrong and blah blah blah

It's a power play to try to get me to cancel at least part of my vacation. It's not going to work.

	He has my number and I'm not taking his calls at all I DID tell the admins that if they have any questions, that THEY can call and I'll answer them but I'm not coming in. They said they'll only call me in a DIRE EMERGENCY because they know I desperately need the vacation.

	Good for you! Don't let him get to you, as they boss they are responsible for finding adequate and competent coverage while you are on leave, be it sick or vacation.

Thanks guys. Beth, I almost gave in, and then I decided that I really NEED the time off. Even if I don't go AWAY, I need to be away from HERE. And he needs to grow up and stop acting like a child.

As for finding competent coverage. The other admins ARE competent. He's just one of those who likes to blame other people when he f**ks something up. I do his documents all day every day and catch mistakes more easily and quickly than someone else might. It's not even required for an admin to proof the documents before they're sent...I do it anyway. So he likes to blame the admins for his mistakes and then make ME feel bad about it.

Not gonna work this time buddy boy
