Who am I? I am alive. This is my world. I am no Dutchman, nor European. An Earthling is how I call myself. I think but am sometimes afraid to think. I walk down paths and ponder about them who went there before me. I look at the sky and wish I was a bird. I see the horizon and hope I will reach it someday. I marvel at the ant for its delicacy and look up in awe to see the might of the elephant. I look at children and imagine how they will grow old.

I admire the nature for its strength. I am ashamed for my own race. I enjoy the smell of old books, vanilla and animals. I fight for love and what I think is right. I am free of human law, morale and values. I am on top of the world and simultaneously walk over its lowest regions. I have seen the dark and lived the light.

Give me your pain for I can’t bare your suffering. Give me your fear and I will give you my hope. Give me your anger and I will melt it away. I am death and life. I am god and its creation. I am everything and nothing.

When I am old, I will still be young. When I die, I will not be gone.
