to have a husband that is, among other things, a musician. While he had his guitar out yesterday I said, You should learn how to play Razor by Foo Fighters. Half and hour later what do I hear streaming out of the living room? Razor. I LOVE that he can do that. He sings as well. I can have live music anytime. Kicks ass.
The first night we met he played and sang for me. Did me in right there. I’m a sucker for a musician.

Maybe the reason I'm not progressing in my guitar playing as I'd like is the fact that I already have a chickie and don't need the extra help to attract more

Still, though, I can't imagine she'd ever want to hear me singing anything to her, guitar or not. I'd make it to TV on American Idol auditions and get told by Simon that I sound like a hyena or something.

I was just wondering aobut that Jon. Have you made any progess?

And trust me, just because you already have her, doesn't mean she won't enjoy it. Even now when Kurt plays for me I love it.

Yeah, I'm doing OK. I just need to practice more than I do.

Some of the chords are freaking hard. I have a hell of a time making a B major - you have to fret across five strings with one finger and put all three other fingers two frets away. Apparently being able to make bar chords like that is a big key. Just gotta keep plugging away.

I can play Yankee Doodle, Skip to my Lou, and Horse With No Name though

Bar chords are a total pain in the ass, but eventually your fingers will surrender and you'll be able to do them.

Now I've got Horse With No Name running through my head!!!!!!!!!

Exactly!

That and Kurt plays because he loves music. I think music helps keep him sane.

He plays piano..has been since he was 6. he just loves studying music. and watching/listening to him learn a particular piece has me smiling 'specially when he's muttering to himself, lol.
