He didn't even want the position he was given (Sales/Marketing Director of a company that at the time was just about bankrupt) and a little over a year later he was fired because some new guy was brought in and I guess decided to fire some of the respected workers. On the goodside my dad gets three months salary, but on the badside he's 58 and works in the clean air system side of sales...he sells fire dampers and things buildings buy and install in the event of a fire so that the building is I guess better protected.

I remember when I was fired from SuperTarget just how pissed off and sad I was...although my being let go was totally different and I actually changed it to quitting with no notice because they had fired me on the basis of discrimination.

I'm not really sure what the point of this entry is...just me rambing yet again I guess. I remain hopeful though that my dad will pull through this and I hope he manages to find a job similar to what he has been doing for around 30 years now. As my mom said we hope the company that let him go realizes how stupid they are. My father is the best regional Director of Sales and Marketing in this area and his company has to know that.
