Go for a coffee with a guy who says he can get me a part in a film?
In a gallery on Friday he spoke to me and asked if I had ever considered acting. Who me? I do lots of acting, always have done, I am in a production at the moment.
Says he is scouting for new talent and could get me an audition...gave me his number..???? 
I think I will...

I absolutely wouldn't do it. That's absolutely not how actresses are found.
If you do, have an imposing-looking friend hang out at the coffee shop as well and absolutely do not go anywhere alone with him. |

19978 points | THere wa s aserial rapist doing that here in the States a while. He'd do just what you said above. I'm not sure how many women he raped. In the end, I belive he killed one of the women.
All that to say, not a good idea. If you feel you must meet him, do it in public and take along a man. |

He said he wasn't doing the auditioning himself. I agree that going anywhere alone with him would be foolish. He wouldn't have a problem with me bringing my uncle or someone along to the audition would he? |

He's full of s**t. I'm 100% certain.
No talent scout or promoter tells random women they should audition for a part and asks them to meet for coffee. It doesn't work like that.
