exercise and eat right..

as in, don't eat until you are full, just eat about 70% to 80% of what you usually eat and no
cheating.. no snacking..

lay off the fatty stuff, go with complex carbohydrates instead of stuff like white bread, go
with wholemeal..

and keep up the exercise..

good luck

good luck

the unhealthy way of losing a pile of weight is what happened to me.. eating very very little...
i ate one small meal a day for the past 5 weeks and have lost 12kg which adds up to about..
2 stone..

due to pain from an injury, i couldn't eat.. please don't do that.. the exercise is important as
it maintains or increases your metabolic rate and makes sure the weight you lose is not
muscle ma** but fat..

i think i lost a lot of muscle ma** instead of fat

my old injury flared up again.. 10 years ago, i hurt my back, suffering a slipped disc..

was operated on then.. everything cleared up..

now, it's happened again, the doctor is reluctant to operate again and decided i should rest
and put me on physiotherapy... it worked.. slowly.. but i'm patient..

so far, 5 weeks since it happened, due to the initial pain, i didn't eat much.. or if at all... now,
my appetite has shrunk a lot..

maybe, hopefully, i can keep this weight but i'll do some sedate exercises to make sure i
don't atrophy or something

but good thing, i'm going back to work on Wednesday

another week stuck in the house, i'd go nuts

i remeber from you other post you said you weregoing back to work.

that is a good thing. my sis has a similar condision on her back and she finds it hard to work and sometimes has to leave work becuase her back decides to be an a** and starts causing pain.

are you going back to your old job or is it somewhere new?

at least then you get to see old friends or meet new ones
and like you said, it will stop you from going nuts

I lost 5 pounds in two weeks from doing nothing more than 3 hours exercise a week and not eating crisps and chocolate.

same place.. but i may be transferred to another department..

i'm at the Corporate Comms Division where we do Community Involvement... this includes
putting up little exhibitions... i have to put up panels for display.. since my back is
screwed, i should not be lifting these things...

maybe they'll put me in another section which doesn't require those things.. just
deskbound.. but still in the same organisation with friends..

it'll work out.. somehow

coz, really, it's just a job to me..

well if they don't put you somewhere else then you can always sit there and tell everyone else what to do.

strangely, that's what the doctor told me to do

but i'm just a lowly working hack so..

it's okay.. sometimes changes are good.. like in the words of someone i admire a lot, it could
be Serendipitous Synchronicity

every time that you feel that your hungry, drink a gla** of water. Oh and dont eat 3 hours before you go to bed. And if you do get hungry and you cant take it anymore than eat something VERY healthy, but be sure to eat a small portion of that. One last thing, always stay positive!

exercices, low fat food, fiber is important, and lean meat also, if you eat meat, fruits and vegetable, the same old thing that we always say. I have to loose weight myself, can't get around to it right now. Ch.

The bear. I anderstant what you mean about back pain, i have that fro many years now, that is why it is hard to me to do exercices. I do my physio, but more than that, is hard. I use to do a lot of exercices. it made me feel very good, morally and physically. I will try to go back at it, but i am scared to hurt my back more. Ch.
