June 25, 2008 @ 04:35:41 pm
SO I'm engaged and my fiance and I are looking for places in Southern California to get married. We would prefer somewhere kind of local like Fullerton, Newport beach, Brea...anyone from around these areas that could offer a some suggestions to some places..if you can send umm my way.
I'm not in any way, shape, or form a bridezilla, just looking for a nice place to get hitched..I'm not one to get all into the planning proccess, I just want to find a place and be done with the planning part ..lol..

Why would I kill after what you said, I take that as a compliment! Yah, there are many reasons why he loves me and one I can def say is b/c of the somewhat simplicity I have when it comes to things, even my wedding... Myrtle Beach huh? I'll have to google that asap, no one has mentioned that (family members or friends) that's a good suggestion, I'm gonna look right now. Thanks!

Well you gata give us more details.

What kind of budget are you working with? I personaly feel that a wedding should represent both parties personal likes.

I got married with her and my family in a large meeting hall thing in the woods. It fit our needs for a comfortable place for our guests and the woods which we both love.

Do you guys like the beach? Into something orignial? try a race track!

Well our budget: My Dad sqaid to keep it at around $30-$60 dollars a person and keep the guest count to about 225 or less. Plus DJ and photography, dress, and all the lil' extras..so lets just say $18,000 or less..that's my budget, empahsis on the less, hopefully

And as for what Matt and I like, we are def simple, and we can fit into any mold, meaning we love the mountains, we love the beach..we are very flexible.

I'm just wanting to plan it all now like in the next two months and be done and just sit back and wait for that special day Just finding and deciding on something is the hard part...

OMG thats a huge wedding!

Thats awsome that your dad is paying for it, very taditional of you.

If I where you, I would consult a wedding planner because when I tell you this I mean it in all respects "Weddings are SCAM!"

Everything about a wedding is a direct attempt to remove you from your money. These people feed on your intention of a "perfect" day and milk you for everything your worth.

Atleast with a wedding planner (a good one) you have a contract and if something goes over its her/his fault and you have a contract.

My wife and I saw weddings for the bisness we that they where and we did every single aspect ourselfs. We even made our own decorations. We felt it was more meaningful to us do it all ourselfs.

If you want to take the thought out of it and not stress, get a planner tell them what you want and leave it in thier hands. Tell them you dn't want to be bothered with the details you just want a great day. They can make it happen for you and stay within your budget.
