I flipped (he's never gotten less than a "B" in anything!) and insisted he bring it home so I could take a look at it and he could turn it in again for a better grade. One redo per report, thank goodness. This eve, I find the teacher had written the comment that his evaluation was vague and incomplete because when asked about the "plot" my son commented he didn't think there was one or a theme. He stated the writer just wrote an interesting story to try and entertain someone. Period. My son obviously wasnt entertained.

April 26, 2008 @ 07:56:19 pm | My teenage son had a couple of his buddies stay over last nite and I was remarking to one of the parents today that I would write a book called the Invisible Teenager. The only problem would be that I would have nothing to write about because quite frankly I never saw or heard these guys from the time they walked in the door and headed to my son's bedroom until this morning when hunger drove them downstairs! Amazing. Stealth mode practice. These guys are also practicing selective hearing.
