Last weekend was the weirdest weekend EVER! On the saturday I went on a niagra falls trip for just 30 canadian bucks. Was a bit of a flop seeing it at a distance. Just didnt seem that impressive, but at least the canadian falls is bigger than the american one!!!

Went under the Horseshoe falls which was quite cool. Then after that we went to St. Catharines to some wine festival which was, to be blunt, SHIT! After that we went to Niagra-on-the Lake. Its a really pretty town on the edge of lake ontario. It had this weird... british colony feel bout it... it even had a shop that sold British stuff. (including a t-shirt that said "only real men watch Coronation Street".)

Then once I got back to Toronto it was the start of something called nuit blanche. It was basically every art's related place in the city was open all night from sunset to sunrise and all of it was for free. We didnt see that much art to be honest. But, was very funny being out with my housemates till 5 in morning! It meant I had been awake for 22 hours tho! On the sunday I had a cycle to some man made park on lake ontario. v.weird. Then monday helped rachel (frosh girl) with her astronomy project.

On thursday had my first house meeting. Was a good turn out but did have to fine one of my house mates for not turning up. Shame really. But have planned a house party for next sat. Then it was the beginning of the long holiday weekend.

On sat did some shopping. Ended up getting deal of century at the MEC. Got a gore-tex jacket for 30% off just because the label on inside was ripped! !

Then on sunday we went to one of our housemates in Oakville to have thanksgiving dinner. It was a really fun day. Did however miss the train. The food was SOOO nice too! Its starting to dawn on me now that im in canada. Think its sort of that starting point of culture shock... knowing ur not in kansas anymore.

OH!!! On friday went to an indie club then on sat met up with our housemates and ended going into this VERY weird club. Lets just say it involved a few gays and transexuals and transvestites. Thats wasnt the scary bit... the worst was seeing this male dancer doing kama sutra moves to fully clothed females. It made me feel so young and immature almost like something I shouldnt be watching by law. still bit freaked out by it.

Anyhow... I just thought better update... sorry these journals are so long! Cant blame me for being so busy... oh.. in bad news. My dad had go back to hospital. Looks like when he had an operation to remove kidney stones during summer that they left a tube in and its left him with an infection. Shit always happens when you cant do anything bout it.
