Hello, people. I dont seem to use TFS much anymore do I? 
Hope everyone had a nice xmas and new year. Mine was quiet and uneventful. Went home to England for xmas you see. Was sort of glad and not glad that was not here in Toronto.
Ive been back nearly a week and still feel uncomfortable, but im much lessed stressed then last time I came for the first time. That makes sense I guess. Erm... I had my exams for the courses last term. They didnt go well at all. Somehow I passed the courses but god knows how. Got a pa** (50/100) in my quantum mechanics course, and 68% in my EM course. It seems that my lecturer must have been feeling sorry for me to pa** QM. | |

wow... feels like a while since my last journal entry! 
Currently, life is pretty annoying. I went out last night to celebrate a friends bday so have been feeling really tired all day. Consequently, I havent been able to get much work done for my exams which are on tuesday. I so know I'm not going to do well in them but I so havent the energy to do anything about it.

I just remembered I left a random journal entry when I was in New York City at the weekend so thought it best that I update it and say what i actually did. 
Well... it took me a while to remember what did except for the small fact that I didnt eat any meat or meat products at all over my whole stay in NYC!

Yes, i have left toronto for the weekend and ended up in new york city!  I'm staying in a hostel with 2 of my housemates from toronto. Really quite good to be away from all the work and stress.

I havent updated my journal in like a month!  Now the problem is I cant really remember what has happened in that month! All I know is I've been really busy with work and not had much chance to do anything really touristy or canadian. Which is a real shame, because I am a tourist as well as student, but it seems I'm not being allowed to be a tourist/traveller.
I have been getting a lil' depressed and stressed but who wouldnt in my position! | |

okay... had my first cla** test today... and let it be said... it wasnt good! even a good cup of tea with biscuits hasnt cheered me up yet.
The quiz is 10% of the course. Was only 50 mins long but had 3 quite long and difficult questions. Just wasnt enough time to think and answer at the same time... you just had be on autopilot. I only answered 1 and a half questions.
So, I've probably got more chance of having a baby than getting a pass.
Its just the sudden realisation that I'm really not smart enough to be here. Everyone who's in my physics cla** is either very weird and smart, or very cocky and smart. I wouldnt be too surprised to hear I'm the dumbest person in all my classes.
I dont want to just pack it in and go home but... its either jeopardise my degree and fail one quarter (if not a third!) of it. OR... stay and realise a degree isnt everything.
Oh... in other news... I got a job! Its basically the area manager of the co-operative housing association so basic emergency call out stuff and making sure the houses run smoothly.
Now to try and do the homework that has be in for tomorrow that I dont know how to answer... great!  | |

Right... I keep making out that all I've been doing recently is work but of course that isnt true! But, work has been a big part of it. For example I have my first Canadian cla** test (or quiz as its called her! )Plus, I have had some weird weekends!
Oh yeah... squirrels are funny!

Feels ages since last update my journal. The last time was on the 13th sept. so its not that long to be honest. Erm... trying remember what I have been up to since then... hmmm...
Oh! I know were to begin... uni work is s**t.
There is so much of it that it is making me feel very depressed about the whole idea of being here in Toronto. Like, when do I get freetime? Am I supposed fall behind or something? Its just sapping my energy at the moment which isnt nice.

wow... just to think I've been in Canada now for nearly 2 weeks! Thats most peoples holidays. They'd be on their way home tomorrow or something, but not me. I'm here for another 3/4 months!
Still hasn't really set in that I'm here yet. I've been organising this whole study abroad thing since November 2005!!!  Now that its here... well... a lot of the canadians and that are asking what I think of Toronto and Canada and honestly... I don't know what to say. I can't say I love it, or hate it, just quietly contemplative about it. Its more that I feel at home.. or trying to feel at home. Which is ridicolous! (yes, I know... I cant spell!) How can you feel at home in somewhere that isn't your home country?
Anyhow, people want hear what I've been up to and boy its been fun! | |
