Public entry I've made up my mind

I've decided to drop out of college, and this time I'm not going back. Sure, some people might think I'm an idiot for doing this, but that's their opinion. I just don't see any reason why I should go there (or in my case, refuse to), get terrible grades, fail my classes and not be able to do what I want to. What am I gonna do instead? Well, I'm still not quite sure, all I know is that I'm gonna have to start from scratch and work my way up, just like everyone else, and I have a feeling that I might turn out to be at least a little bit proud of myself from time to time if I manage to do this.

If you think it's best then go for it! College isn't necessary to have a good career and life.

Wow! what a decision....well, I have to say it maybe more productive to try and get a job now rather than stay on at college, but it can be tougher in the "real world" than college.xxx

I'd suggest re-enorlling in some easier and more interesting classes.

It wasn't until college that I actually had to go back through some of my high school courses I slept through like Pre-Algebra.

I went for Computer Information Systems but the lessons learned were obsolete three days after graduation.

I'd aim for something that you already have an interest in or knack for. =)

You need to do what's right for YOU, not what everybody else wants you to. Living your life to please everybody but yourself is pointless....you just end up unhappy.

I dropped out in 2000. I was happier and more relaxed without the added pressure. Do what's good for you!

I know it's not necessary, but it does give you an advantage when you're out jobhunting

I don't really know if you could say that I'm gonna start looking for a job now, more like... try to just do my own thing

Ugh, when I finished high school, I said never again aobut school, and now, after giving college two chances, I'm saying the same again.

Maybe so, but my mom never went to college and when she has a job she gets good money, compared to even my friends' parents who did go to college.

I guess you just have to look for the right jobs, or make a pretty good first impression and know what you're doing

Yeah, she was a computer programmer and is a business analyst now so that does help.
