Me and Drew got into this nasty arguement this afternoon, and it has been eatting away at me all day long. Im just at that point where I dont know what to do or say anymore because it doesnt seem to get thru to him.

First off he is going thru a rough timee financially so I offered to help him pay his phone bill and give him some money for gas, and buy lunch for him on days we hang out.

Then there is the fact that i put him and his needs before my own, and it always leaves me feeling like im the only one putting any effort into things. So when I talk to him about it of course he gets all defensive.

And its not that I mind helping him out, its just a thank you from time to time wouldnt hurt. Or maybe some form of gratitude instead of just always expecting me to give and give and not get anything in return. And i told him... "there is only so much one can give before they burn out, especially when they feel unappreciated." and then he just got all pissed off at me.

I dont get him... nor do i know what to do anymore.

I hate it when people take others for granted. If he seriously got mad at you for saying that, then I seriously think you should just stop helping him completely, but it doesn't seem to me like he would do the same for you?

I would stop helping him. Stop giving him money and paying his phone bill and gas and lunch. Don't do any of that for a while and then he'll see what he's missing and how good of a friend you are. If he doesn't, then he's not such a great friend after all and you need friends who will be there for you also.

There could be a lot of embaressment on his part but he shouldnt take you for granted and he should also show you a little consideration I hope everything sorts itself out soon but if things dont go well just tell him you will see him when you next feel like it It might bring him to his senses Good luck helen
