I really did put in a garden. This is a First in my life. We decided to get a vegetable garden going. I started back at the end of February, preparing the area, then I had to fence it to keep the critters and dogs out. Then finally, adding the plants was the most fun. Gets better every day I see them grow. It is time to add the tomatoes this week! Updates as they grow.

The tiller was a Back saver, I swear I did most of the work.

The Fun part! Starting with Cabbage and Cauliflower.

Added lettuce...this was taken about a week ago. ( 3-22-08 )

Looks like a good start.

Aww, thanks! Yes, it is about 25 feet by 40 feet. Wanted to make sure I had the room to grow what I wanted.

I can think of nothing more rewarding than eating your own home-grown produce.

I love garden's, every year we put one in also, but with this weather I don't know if this year is going to be good, have to wait and see, and I do all the work and garden veggies and fruit are the best very nice garden you have there.

My aunt used to grow her own veg but then they moved and then when they moved to another place where she could grow them again, one of the dogs kept digging them up and laying them out in a row like he was saying "No, not here. This is my spot". Then he died of puppy cancer but my uncle had planted heather in one corner and then put out decks so there's no room.

Started planting tomatoes yesterday!

Look at me, getting all excited over a garden.

Gardening has it's rewards! We've been planting hot peppers the last 2 years. Really hot peppers.

Nothing wrong in that. It's similar to raising children, you watch them grow, care for them, feed them and the only difference is, you don't eat your children!

The potted ones seem to turn out better I think. Less damaged/ wasted plant.
