About stuff that happens in my [boring] life.
Public entry Fajitas
April 20, 2006 @ 05:50:28 am
I went to Taco Bell today and got a fajita because I was in a hurry for lunch. I don't usually go for Taco Bell, you see. The sucker was damn good! There was melted cheese and ground beef involved...very good.
So I went out to the 24-hour Stop & Shop and bought this whole package of their fajita flour mix so you can make your own at home. I was psyched. My own fajitias, whenever I want.
Except.........I suck a** at cooking. And the fajita things just break apart whenever I try to wrap 'em. So I'll just eat the broken pieces.

OK Robby...don't try and make them from scratch...ok...you understand...LOL...

Buy premade Tortillas bread (mission is a good brand)...then go to the sections of the grocery where they sell those little packs of sauce mix, spegetti mix etc..and you will find Fajita mix...follow instructions with meat etc...

Important, before trying to wrap..take the amount of tortillas bread you want...wrap in tin foil and put in oven at around 200 for a few minutes until they are really warm...then wrap ...they don't break so easily this way.

LOL....also you can find in the mexican food section some products in cans like fajita sause etc.

...oh and the cheese they use at the taco bell is processed cheese like velvita, so melt some of that if your looking for a similar flavour...(yuk)...or you can buy a bag of pre shredded cheese I think it is called fiesta blend, or mexican blend...either way...much better for you and in my opinon tastes better, but if you want it to melt then after wrapping your stuff...wrap in tin foil again and put in oven at 350 for 5 min or so.

...just a thought.

Namaste
