It has mentally scared them and for that I cry, and for their pain I wish it on me cause their pain has a double pain effect on me, especially when it's in the mind, it hurts so much to see our children go through any type of pain emotional or physical, but alas all we can do is be strong for them and patiently wait for them and be ready with open heart and arms on our knees for them at the end of their dark path to hug them and hold them and reassure them. We all wish we could take the pain awy i'm going through things with my ownson who is 10.WE have had 3 deaths in year and half,he won't talk to me cause he does'nt want me upset.He keeps all to himself,i was gonna take him to c someone to talk bout it.We know how hard it is for adults to deal with things so u wonder how it is for kids.Just keep ur chin up
