	My friends and I do that all the time. We buy half a gift on their real birthdays and another half on the 6 month mark. It's real fun trying to make the gifts look full but only half. Like one year I got a box of chocolates and it was all sealed but when I opened it there was no top layer of chocolates. Weird but interesting.

That sounds like tons of fun! I may have to try something like that with my friends.

It's hilarious just trying to figure out what to buy and then trying to make it look like the full gift. I recommend it, the reason we do it is because one of our friends passed away before her birthday and we made a pact that we would do it bi annually since then, so that we get to celebrate it twice. Try it, it's so much fun.
