Welcome to my life! =]
Leave your bullshit at the door!
Public entry Wow. Scary Realization.
July 15, 2008 @ 02:05:07 am
Today everything hit me, and it was scary for me. I always thought that there would be time for everything, but I also always knew that I couldn't let life pa** me by. So I lived. And maybe by doing that I didn't prepare as much as I should have. I also realized that I may not be the person I thought I was...

I realized that I'm going into my junior year of high school, which means I only have TWO years until I'm on my own. Two years until I leave my friends, family, and my old life behind to go to college and start a new life. Two years isn't a long time. And it certainly doesn't feel at all long enough. It's overwhelming. Especially for someone who thought they had it all figured out.
I'm sure I'll make it, and I'll get over it. But for now, I'm kinda worried.

If you thought at one point you had it figured out you're probably alright. You can always change plans to fit but atleast you have them in place! Good luck with everything!

I know how you feel! I've got 3 years and my mom's talking about college already it's a very frightening concept. I haven't even come to terms with driving quite yet
but even tho you'll be leaving your family, they'll always be there for you if you need them and friends are everywhere!

Haha, My mom and I have been talking about college since I was in 1st grade!(Of course, it was mostly me...which is weird.) I know! I have my permit and I can get my license but I haven't driven in a longgggggg time so I'm not going to quite yet.(I'm terrified of it ever since I almost got into a head on collision in drivers ed...stupid blond driving on the wrong side of the road....)
Thanks, you're so right! But it's still a little scary to leave everything behind and have to start all over. But then again, you know that better than anybody!

He's a "model" and he's flaunting his uber smexyness.

Kind of annoying.

Well, college always was an issue, but now it's the wholse scholarship & GPA and deciding which one ordeal that's making me scream
Ouch, that I can understand I'm also kind of worried about becoming my mom's chauffeur but there area a lot of crazy people on the road and it worries me, I was in an accident where the car in front of us did a U turn instead of turning right and i hit my head and was carried off in a stretcher & ambulance to the hospital Turns out those people were drunk
You make it sound like I'm a military brat or something... tho i suppose you're right. it's really only hard until you get accustomed to the place and settle down, not too long.

That's what I'm freaking out over too. I have a list of 23 universities to look into and God knows how many scholarships.
Woah, that's awful. I don't know if I would even get in a car again, muchless drive one! The other thing is my mom just got into an accident about a month ago because of drunk drivers and now she's got all kinds of problems and has therapy like 3-4 times a week.
You're right. I should be okay. Right? Right?!

Wow. My mom just wants me to go to the one closest to whereever we live at the time But scholarships, damn I don't have time for a whole bunch of freaking essays!
Well, i got off ok, my friend Dani was in the front passenger seat and she'd already hit her head & had a messed-up ankle and she having a really hard time It just scares me. Especially with stuff like that, I mean one bad accident you're done, and it's hard keeping track of so many people IMO. But then again school seems to be a pretty risky place these days as well shootings, rapes, etc.
See last 2 sentences above. No just kidding, you'll be fine!

I guess I was an odd teenager. I couldn't wait to get out of high school. I hated high school with a passion. College was more to my liking. I was actually a little sad when it ended. This time around, I'm actually more excited than I was scared. (I'm going back to get certification as a lab assistant.)

One of the smartest things a college student can do is realize they don't have everything all figured out. That's when the brain really gets to work.

All I have to say is really enjoy the rest of this summer because when the fall starts, you will have some major deadlines to tend to. The last 2 years of high school will go by in a flash (which for me didn't go fast enough).
