| They haven't issued any warnings for it yet, but its not going to be too much longer before they do. Thankfully where I am we aren't in the direct firing line. Currently its a low with a pressure of around 1000 hectapascals, off the east coast of Australia. Over the next two days its moving across the ocean to us, and will hit the upper part of the North Island. We'll feel the effects of it, but we aren't in the worst spot.
By the time it hits the North Island its will be around 970 hectapascals in pressure at the centre, and will be the lowest pressured storm to hit New Zealand in a number of years, to my memory about 5 or 6 years.
Its going to make it to us on Saturday night, so I presume all the warnings and stuff will go out tomorrow at some stage. Its going to get very windy and very wet up the top of the island.
