I go to the supermarket after work and rock up to the express checkout lane with my 2 items. A bag of mandarins and some yoghurt.

The express lane is for 10 items or less. Fair enough. Everyone in the other 2 express lanes has an armful of stuff, no baskets or anything and well and truly under 10 items or less. Except the guy in the 3rd lane with his wife. I joined the queue behind them cause they looked like they were nearly there. Boy was I wrong.

WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND GOES INTO A 10 ITEMS OR LESS LANE WITH A TROLLEY OF THINGS, SPEND MINUTES UNLOADING ALL THEIR ITEMS, NOT 10, NOT 20, NOT EVEN 30 ITEMS. THEY HAD 42 ITEMS AND THEN DECIDES THEY CAN'T FIND THEIR EFTPOS CARD TO PAY FOR THE DAMN THINGS, SO HAD TO PUSH THEIR THINGS TO ONE SIDE TO LET ME GET THROUGH IN LESS THAN A MINUTE..

I couldn't get out of the queue, which sucked. You can drop all the hints you like about their inability to count and they just won't care. I just don't understand why some people do not care and can't be bothered. Stuff everyone else, its me me me.

If I wasn't in my work uniform I probably would have said more than I did to be honest. But if I was serving and I had that situation, I probably wouldn't have served them. Its just not fair on everyone else with their trollies of stuff patiently waiting in line, and to all the people that come in to get their 2 things.

Grrrrr that feels better now

I just say to people that its 10 items or less and point at the sign, then usually the cashier says something to them and they go to another checkout. Its bloody cheeky really.

11/12 would be my limit, people came up with like 40 items, on one of the basket ones
