Public entry Bad electronics day
July 04, 2008 @ 05:18:41 am
Ever have one of those days when everything electric/electronic goes haywire? What's the deal with that? Woke up this morning to find that my cell phone had lost signal during the night- and missed a call from my son in Iraq. Started my coffeepot and came back to find the coffee on the counter- the pot broke! Took a shower and started getting ready for work, hairdryer blew up! Got to work, computer died, then then 4 phones in the call center stopped working! I was afraid to drive my car home-figured it would break down. Luckily, it didn't, but got home and the power was out! (Someone crashed into a powerline pole). The power finally came back on, and the light bulb in the living room blew out! I think I'll just go to bed and hope that my alarm doesn't blow up while I'm sleeping......

It's way too hot for an electic blanket! 95 to 100 degrees during the day, and it cools down to round 80 at night. Probably a good thing, the electric blanket probably WOULD toast me!
