157437 points | I usually let myself cry for a while watch slushy films, eat chocolate and when im fed up feeling sorry for myself i try and do something constructive with my time or read a whole book or complete a whole game on the PS2 that usually takes me a week or so of not calling them.
Then i rely on my freinds to make me get out of the house and cheer me up. 
If you can make it through a month of not calling them or seeing them you will start to heal |

2322 points | this may sound so familiar but time is a healer.... i'm speaking from experience, one of the best things to do is distance yourself from this person, if you are still in contact with this person then try not to keep in touch quite as much. People say that if it's love and you lose it that it will come back to you. This is true someone I was in love with (still am in love with) broke up with me and I went through such a hard time went into depression and even resulted in self harming, then bout 3 months later they contacted me saying they weren't happy without me and that they still loved me, but I was scared as I had been hurt so much that I never took them back as I wanted time to sort out my feelings, and its the biggest mistake I made as I have lost them forever.
