school isn't meant for some people. We know that. At least you are out there, at least training up to be something. Stick with it, who knows where it could lead you.

That's great! I think you'll get more out of getting early hands-on experience than you will learning about some of the crap they try to teach us sometimes And if it's something you love to do then why not go for it while you can?

right on.they dont give us real life skillz for jobs these days unless its academic but we have a trade shortage at the moment so you know we need to put it out there to do a trade that can benefit others.

I agree, book knowledge just doesn't get you as far sometimes in the normal, everyday jobs. However, Idk anywhere that doesn't have restaurants I admire them a lot too, because my sister is one and I know about the work and pressure. It's crazy, at times. Which is another good reason why you'd probably benefit from becoming an apprentice now

Well she had a baby last month so she's currently not working, plus she moved just before that. And she lives in Florida (US).

Apprenticeships are good. Didnt work for me, but I know alot of people who have made decent careers from them

Best of luck with it all.
