| Yes, if you want to go to Heaven, too bad ... it's full! 1 generation = approx. 25 years
In 1968 there have been 1968 divided by 25 = 78 generations.
Taking in account only parents and not excess offspring there have been 2 to the 78
power of people born in your family as relatives to you since the birth of Christ.
2 to the power of 78 = 604.462,909,807,314,587,353,086 people!
If this number of people wer placed on the Earth head to foot, the pile would be approx.
113,236 miles high.
If you were at the bottom of the pile and wanted to visit somebody at the top, at 8 miles a
day it would take you 50 years to go there and return. (39 years up and 11 years down)
NOW: Revelations XXI: 16 says the dimensions of Heaven are 12,000 furlongs X 12,000
furlongs X 12,000 furlongs
1 furlong = 660 ft.
12,000 furlongs = 76,920.000 ft.
The dimensions of Heaven are: 76,920,000 X 76,920.000 X 76,920,000 giving a cubit
size of:
496,793,088,000,000,000,000 cubic feet
Say at 10 cubit feet per person (not including the streets paved of gold etc.) you could
squeeze: 449,679,308,800.000,000,000 people into Heaven.
Thus leaving:
604,423,230,498,514,587,353,353,086 to go where????
Calculate it out yourself. There is probably more of a surplus now!!!
Mathematics is the absolute of the Universe as we know it! | |

Points Whore Master 61546 points | | But of that 604,462,909,807,314,587,353,086, only 7 have actually met the draconian requirements for entry into heaven. The other 604,462,909,807,314,587,353,079 are in hell, which is boundless. |

Mega Über-Meister 3147 points | We can only calculate it according to the Bible. I'm sure I'm going the other way as well. But if
half the people are considered good, then Heaven is still full up! |

Maybe god is writing the Bible: part 2? |

Well it has been some time since it was written. lots can be done in that time (especially if your a god) |

Points Whore Master 61546 points | Oh, and by the way, your assumptions are completely off. You've assumed that the population doubles every 25 years, and it does not. It's also assumed that people continue breeding after death. I hope I don't have to point out the flaw in that one.
The more reliable estimates put the number of humans that have ever lived at between 90 - 110 billion. Though it's virtually impossible to find a reliable number due to the number of variables involved.
Let's take a midrange of 100 billion people. Now let's make the assumption that only one religion can be correct, since they mostly claim that themselves. Since you're looking at the Christian bible, we'll pick Christianity. 33% of people on the planet are currently identified as Christians. Let's assume that was always the case, though it obviously was not. That leaves us with 33 billion people, give or take. 2 billion of them are still alive, so not in Heaven. So 31 billion. Let's further assume that all Christians are good Christians, and will go to heaven (also dubious).
So we have 31 billion people in heaven.
Back to your calculations of the volume of Heaven being 496,793,088,000,000,000,000. That gives 16,025,583,484 cubic feet per person. Really rather roomy! |

Points Whore Master 61546 points | | Even if every single human that ever lived passed through into Heaven, they'd all still have a couple quintillion cubic feet of space each. |

Ogler 29529 points | well you lost me on the math, but when we go to the otherside or what we prefer to call it we are only tiny sparks of energy ,so each person needs less energy.
