Today was the little district tournament.. the tournament that qualifies you for states..

Let's go back to last year for a moment shall we? Got into a run off round with another person and we were battling for an alternate spot but at the time we didn't know if we were competing for an actual state position or an alternate spot. I got first alternate...

This year I told myself almost every practice that I was NOT going to be an alternate this year and instead I would be an actual qualifier..

Well the district tournamant was today and what did I get? FIRST ALTERNATE!! I'M SOO UNBELIEVABLY PISSED RIGHT NOW. EVERYONE SAYS OOO JORDAN THAT'S GOOD THAT'S GOOD YOU COULD STILL GO TO STATES. Please, once someone gets a spot in the state tournament they do NOT drop out unless something huge happens to them in which they have no choice but to drop out.

TO MAKE MATTER WORSE!! There were a total of 8 qualifiers in my event.. ONLY 4 OF THEM EVEN DESERVED IT!! THE OTHER 4 MUST HAVE GOTTEN LUCKY! Am i saying my speech is amazing? Hell no. Am I saying that I think I deserved it more than the 4 random people who never placed at a tournament this year, did mediocre all year long and got lucky this weekend? Yes.

I WORKED MY BUTT OFF THIS SEASON TO ACCOMPLISH ONE GOAL!! TO GO TO STATES.. I ONLY WANTED THAT. Why must this happen to me two years in a
row.. there's no point in my even practicing my speech anymore because I'm not going to be able to go.

I'm so upset right now.
