April 17, 2008 @ 02:52:38 am | I'm feeling kind of resentful of my Grandma. I know she doesn't like being in the nursing home but I feel kind of crappy and selfish today. I don't feel it's right that she pays to be taken care of in a facility and I have to quit my job to take care of her so she gets adequate care. I feel like I should be able to work, earn my own money, not be at the mercy of my mom for gas money and money to buy stuff and then have her comment on everything. "You spend how much on shampoo? That's far too much! You can use this shampoo, it's just as good and it only costs five dollars!". Yeah, I know it costs five bucks, but I like a certain shampoo and conditioner! I like the scent, the way my hair feels after. Or even the juice I buy my kid! "Well Sunny D is cheaper than Capri Sun!" Yes, but sonny boy doesn't like Sunny D. he likes Capri Sun. No, mommy, they're not the freaking same!
