This is the Grandfather clock we inherited when my Mother-in-law passed away three years ago,it has always been a bit of a joke because when we came to move it the gla** door on the face fell off as did the botton plinth we got it working then the chain wound itself around a cog and stopped,well today a man came to look at it he said it's age was between 1780 and 1820 we thought maybe 1890 plus so I suppose it had a right to fall apart at that age,we hope to have it restored soon not to look brand new just working again, I wonder who brought it and how much it cost. | |

My Daughter has sold her flat and is looking for a semi house in a certain area,is there anything worst than house hunting? Oh the disappointment,they look so good on the estate agents photos,and most are grotty in real life  | |

The Church has been booked 4th April 2009 1pm £50 deposit leaving a balance of £407.50,is that about right  or can they asked what they like? | |

My daughter Claire got engaged on Christmas day to a lovely young man called Matt,they are getting married on the 4th of April 2009,so I will update my journal every so often,because I know how stressful arranging these thing can be,it will be a Church wedding so let the fun begin  | |

| Has anyone had anything to do with shoeboxes that are filled with small gifts and sent to poorer nations children,many go to Easten Europe but some go to Africa,I am involved with them this time of the year because each box has to be checked,some boxes are beautiful and people have taken lots of care,but some have just mcdonalds rubbish in and broken toys,so far from the lincolshire area we have sent out twenty three thousand boxes,it is a lovely thing to do,many children have never received a gift in their lives,I have seen videos of them with their gifts and it is heart breaking to see the joy on the faces,our own ghildren get so much, so if you get the chance to fill a shoebox please do. | |

Today I heard the news from a close friend,her son and daughter-in-law had lost their baby,it was a speical IVF baby but was born at five and a half months, after going through so much and all the excitment of passing the critical stage,I feel so sorry  | |
