The sad thing is, is that love and break ups nor matter how you try and hold your head up high... they mold who you are and why your where you are today.
Today didn't bring up emotions. but brought up something I forgot about... anger for her friends, letting her do what she did, when they even disagreed with her, and went to the wedding and... cutting me out of there life..... And now... they want to be facebook buddies.... people have short memories.I got a friend request from a Old friend on facebook, who was best mates with my ex of the time.. my first love.. a girl I was going to marry believe it or not. Her friend said "long time no see.." and then we got chatting on the book of the face.. there not friends anymore and she told me how Chelle, my ex (real name being used there..) lost a great guy and ended up with a wanker. She lost all her friends after we finished.. see I had just left the Airforce and through no fault of my own thought it would be best to move home for a bit to recharge the batteries and hopefully save some money for the wedding/engagement. we where ready, she was ready..
I discovered what happened a few years after we split up in 2001. She fell out of love.. which in today's terms looks like a girl falling out of one bed and into another.. pretty much.. jan 2001 we split up and for 2 months after I was a wreck.. my life fell apart.. Aug 2001 she got married and for the moment in my life I thought I was getting over the 4 years we where together.. My friend text me Michelle got married.. floored me.. my life fell apart again. It took moving to Bristol a year later and getting a degree and putting the s*** of my past behind me. | |

Aircraft Technician, working on the maintanence of the airframe and propulsion systems of Tornado, Harrier, Eurofighter (prototype), various little aircraft and helicopters. I was a Senior Technician when I left.. was in for 4 years on my apprenticeship.
The training is next to none it is brilliant, and I would say get fit before going in. Get your head down when your there.. and sign up for as long as you can.. biggest regret was leaving!
I aint read the website, but the armed forces are exactly what they say on the tin.. work hard play hard.. |

Minister+ 11430 points | Some people think that after awhile others will forget what had happened and think they can get back in their lives and be friendly again.
I had something like that happen to me too. Long story short this former best-friend tried to break up my hubby and I(we had been dating a few months at the time), seven years later she calls me and even tried to add me on FB. I think she got the hint I wanted nothing to do with her. She used the excuse "I don't remember any of it, I'm sorry" Bull-f***in-s***. |

Sound.
Would you say a technical career is best or does it just depend on what you're good at (obviously, yes, but if they provide training and I'm willing to learn!)
I intend to join for at least 18 years, and I intend to apply early next year. |

Depends what you want for life.. I always say to people do what they know... so if you feel aircraft ech is what you want do it.. there is tons to do in the airforce.. the trouble with my career path is the license when you leave.. you need to have one if you make it to say Sgt. level as you will be signing off work.. if you leave and go to civvy street.. then you will need a EASA B1 license with a type rating which means alike a qualification to work on say and airbus A320 etc.. so Aircraft Tech is a tuff direction also math and science is a big thing in that job... the best job IMO is RAF police or intelligent.. you get a psychology degree or you can transfer into the normal police or MOD police.. or what my mate did, and shouldn't really say on here.. MI5.
So if you want to be a soldier go army.. if you want a good education and background go RAF.. if you want to play on boats and miss dry land go Navy.. (went on a Navy ship once.. I found it really hard to be there emotionally and physically... so its not for everyone) |

There's quite a few things that I would like to do in the Raf, like supplier, chef, ICT Specialist and the police really interested me aswell.
I'm almost 100% sure I'm going to join. I just need to decide once and for all what to do and get fitter.
Thanks for the advice, mate and I hope you got everything sorted out about your ex and that. |
