I had tried something which worked!!!! - talking about romance.
You meet the girl.
You ask her if she'd like to help you in your work (or ask her to meet you in the lab - depending on the context).
She says "ok" or "yes". (if she says "no", ask her to meet you when she is free).
Later, you tell her that the work/experiment is "Genetic Transfer".

If she is a Doctor Who fan, she'll know that you mean kissing. Else, you may surprise her by a kiss and later explain what you meant. She will find you weird, but interesing and innovative in your way of seducing her. And you end up with a girl to kiss.
