Public entry Crying cats
June 16, 2008 @ 04:00:05 am

..As I sit here typing by the opened window, enjoying that the air has cooled, and smelling the sweetness of the on-coming rain, suddenly I hear what sounds like wailing babies..
In my yard, perched upon the arch of the wall lyes one cat, slowly wagging his tail, and another walking up and down wailing..
it really creeps me out when they sound like this.. I guess they are in heat.
..I hope they leave soon, they are really beginning to ride my last nerve. (and yep, I did try to chase them, but they are strays, and don't scare easily ).

I've tried the ignore button, which usually works, but to no avail..
finally, after what seemed forever, they've left..
now some peace and quiet again

Ahh spring love...isn't it annoying? my wife insists on owning every freaking cat in the state, and they seem to all go into heat at the same damn time...I know your pain. Many nights I've lain awake seriously contemplating Kitty genocide. But between common sense and the fear of my wife, I usually am able to overcome the urge.

Reminds me of the time, years back, when I owned a female tiger cat..well she was out one night and caught in the tree just outside my window (and in heat)..I heard all this weird crying and looked out and there was my poor Cleo stuck up in the tree with about 10 males whining below - so like an a** I open the window and say, c'mon girl, naturally she jumps into my arms tearing me up as she did so with her claws.

Haha, yeah, but I guarantee she'll never forget you rescuing her from a potentially horrid night. Hormone-driven males can be very annoying, even dangerous (tongue in cheek on THAT one!). But with one kind and rather painful gesture, you bought loyalty for life! lol

Yep, and a scar on my arm for memories.
