Dad
How I feel about my dad
Public entry Dad

Dad, thanks for everything that you have done for me. The places that you take me, the
time you spend with me, the hardwork you put into our family is what I appreciate about
you the most. You know what's out there and I see how much effort you put into teaching
me those things. You should be proud of the hard work and accomplishments you went
through for our family. You taught me right from wrong, any parent would of course. You
taught me wonders of life and to experience it as much as possible. You changed my life
since day one and again I want to thank you for that because I have learned alot..

What do you think of what I wrote for my dad?

He needs to 'hear' it from you. Don't just write it down and shove it under his nose. Listening to those words will be very satisfying.

??

I don't plan on telling that to my dad.

we don't talk, even though we live with each other, so... wouldn't really work.

I wrote this down to have him know that I think he is a good dad and that I care for him.
He has been working hard and seem to get stressful at times and I want to show my
appreciation.

I won't deny that your words will have an effect,...but the effect will be more powerful if they are spoken. [You could read it to him, first, before you give him the note!] Take it from one old Dad... who knows what it feels like.

i wish my dad was like that he has never been there for me through my whole life he is even the reason my brother ended up in jail cuz my brother was driving drunk and even though my brother had a warrant out for him he was drunk so he had my drive home drunk so my brother got in trouble when they were pulled over by the cops and when my brother got out of jail he was put on probation and he wasnt supposed to be around alcohol and my dad did everything he could to cause problems for him he was drunk every night of the week and one day his probation officer came by to do a suprise inspection and he took off and let my brother get arrested and he almost went back to jail for 2 years and they told him that if he was caught drinking again he would be sent to prison for 2 more years and that he had to pay 1000.00 to get out of jail.

Im real real sorry for that. Hope everything comes out all right. Not having a dad can do lots
to a person mentally.

well mine was never really around when i was growing up he has been bouncing in and out of prison and half way houses and jail since i was 5 and my sister pretty much disowned him when she was a teenager cuz he would hit on all of her friends and critize all of them he told her friend when she was 13 that she was busting in at the seams in public place in front of everyone and she put a dollar bill down her other friends shirt i just learned not get involved with someone like him.
