| I just finished the telephone interview with the Employment Commission. My branch manager represented the company, but he didn't have all the correct info on the case. As I expected, the company didn't play fair - so I could still lose & not be able to get unemployment benefits. However, the manager was requested to fax his "forgotten" documentation to the Investigator.
But, the interesting part is that within half an hour, the manager (4 times) gave different reasons & info for firing me. He kept changing dates that were supposed to coincide with the reason for termination. He even mixed up dates & times for a different employee, when I was out on sick leave.
Five days ago, the company made their initial response to the EEO claim - so that's in writing. I'm hoping I can use what the manager said today, which was recorded by the Employment Commission, if I need to help prove anything against the company on the EEO complaint.
In any case, I just feel so much better. |
