Anyways, there are things people from European nations that they'll just never understand about American society as much as they'd like to think they do. Seriously...it's a forum but cm'on. Why should us Americans get slapped with negatives whenever we talk about guns...

but we all know that cops f**king unload when they shoot at someone,
so while they may not be able to hit their eye socket they'll still kill you. |

One of the big reasons in such cases is because the cops either didn't hit him at all or didn't hit him in a vital. There are some cops that are insane shots. (one of which I know on another forum) but there are a lot that don't know there a** from from a crack in the ground. |

I think we can agree that the average cop is a better shot then the average criminal. |

6127 points | Which isn't saying much. The average civilian gun owner is a better shot than the average cop.
Now if all officers practice the way the one I know does then that's certainly be very true and have a lot of weight behind it. I'll post is training routine here in a minute. |

Shoots qualification requirements, then work on specifics like shooting from retention, precision shooting from 25 yds. shooting with a light, shooting on the move, one hand only, etc.
25 yds. 2 rds. center ma** (8X10 scoring ring) in 4 seconds 3x
15 yds. 2 rds center ma** in 3 seconds 3x
10 yds. 2 body 1 head (3x5) (failure drill) in 3.5 seconds 2x
7 yds. 2 body 1 head in 3 seconds 2x
5 yds. 2 body 1 head 2.5 seconds 2x
3 yds. 2 body 1 head 2 seconds 2x
shooting on the move
10 yds to 3 yds. 6 rds. to the body 1 rd. to the head. Speed Reload and 3 yds to 10 yds in reverse 6 rds. to the body, 1 to the head.
Then Repeat all with a draw, then shoot from retention from 2 yards instead of on the move. |
