So I was just sittin' here thinking to myself...
Why do I chew?
I mean, it gives me horrible heart burn. At the end of the day, my lip hurts like a s.o.b. It costs way too much. I must spend close to $60 a month on it. And I think cancer might be developing on the side of my cheek and lip. Hopefully not though.
There are some pros I guess:
It tastes amazing. It satisfies those horrible cravings. It gets rid of headaches usually. That's probably about it.
I started when I was 16 and it seems impossible to quit. I tried a while back, I went 2 weeks I think. It was awful. I never want to have a 2 weeks like that again. | |

Ogler 21628 points | | Let me get this straight, you frame for a work right? You go to school then go to work framing? |
 l_teddy10
Debater 6238 points | | No, I just do some construction every now and then for the expierence because I'm probably gonna be doing it when I get out of school. I get out of school and then go to work at a gas station. |

Ogler 21628 points | | It would be pretty hard to go to school and frame. |

Debater 6238 points | | Lol, yeah for sure. It's hard enough workin 35 hours a week at a gas station and going to school. |

Ogler 21628 points | | Dang that would be hard. I started framing when I was 17 but it was only on the weekends till I out out of highschool. |

Debater 6238 points | | Yeah, I could be doing it. I've had job offers from a couple different companies. But I know it would wear me out. But I graduate in a few weeks anyways. So we'll see. I have an almost guaranteed spot at one of the largest construction companies in the state. Or I might go to work in Iraq uparmoring trucks. Or maybe the military. Dunno yet. |

Ogler 21628 points | | Always nice to have options. Is that job in Iraq civilian? |
 l_teddy10
Debater 6238 points | | Yep. Turning wrenches on military trucks. My dad drove a truck over there for a year delivering helicopter fuel. The bad thing about it is the Iraqi's know those guys are unarmed so they attack them about as much as they attack our troops. It gets pretty ugly for um sometimes. My dad has a bunch of videos and pictures and it's just like you're fighting in the war, except you get paid a whole lot more. I don't know though. If I took that job I'd probably have to get rid of my dog and I don't really want to do that. On the plus side though, it's all tax free if you stay for a year and I don't have any bills, so after a year, it would be like 100 grand in my pocket. Cuz they pay for your housing and food and all that. |

Ogler 21628 points | | 100k sounds nice, but i think I love my dogs too much for that. |

Debater 6238 points | | Yeah, I could try to talk my mom into taking care of him, but Idk, she's usually pretty busy. But if I did that for like, 2 years, I could come back and buy a little house with like a 60% down payment, then furbish most of it with the rest of the money. Then go to work doing construction or something and I'd be doing pretty good. |

Debater 6238 points | The chew distributor lady came to my work today.
She gave me 8 free cans and 3 coupons for 1 dollar off a can!
I should be good for at least 2 weeks since I already had 2 cans that are about new. |
