Public entry Why?
May 09, 2008 @ 05:48:11 am
So I was just sittin' here thinking to myself...
Why do I chew?
I mean, it gives me horrible heart burn. At the end of the day, my lip hurts like a s.o.b. It costs way too much. I must spend close to $60 a month on it. And I think cancer might be developing on the side of my cheek and lip. Hopefully not though.
There are some pros I guess:
It tastes amazing. It satisfies those horrible cravings. It gets rid of headaches usually. That's probably about it.
I started when I was 16 and it seems impossible to quit. I tried a while back, I went 2 weeks I think. It was awful. I never want to have a 2 weeks like that again.

Yeah. Chew is so much more convient. I can dip at work and school. Even in church . Aha, copenhagen...I stay away from that stuff. I can't afford 6 dollars a can. I love that new Smooth Hickory flavor though. Last time I bought a can of that was deer season I think. I chew Grizzly green. The flavored stuff is easier to gut if you have to. I used to chew grizzly natural. But then I quit for that two weeks and when I started chewing again, the natural would make me sick. So I had to go back to green. That new Grizzly snuff isn't bad. Almost like cope snuff. But half the price.

I can only stand it if it comes in a pouch and they're still only like 4.50 or so here depending on where you buy it.

I was surprised the first time I took it and found out that it actually calmed my cigarette cravings. All in all I'd rather smoke though. I hate the way you look with a pouch in your mouth. I like the fact that you spit alot while you're using it though.

I enjoy cigarettes if I'm drinking. But I don't really smoke when I'm not drinking. They just came out with Grizzly green pouches. And I tried them, it really helped my lip not hurt so much because it doesn't cut it up as much. But I go through a can in about half the time. A regular can is 1.2 ounces I think. And pouches are only .82 and usually cost a little more.
But cope under 6 dollars!!?? That's ridiculous. How much is Grizzly?
When I was elk hunting I went into a grocery store near camp to get a can op cope and it cost me $7.45!

And spitting is kinda fun. lol
When you're like inside and don't spit for like, 20 minutes then go outside and spit, you like, leave a puddle, lol. I have friends who drill holes in their floorboards so they can spit in the truck. lol!
It's pretty gross, I never spit in my truck. But I have spilt the spitter a few times. That's a pain in the ass. Especially if it's like, a full bottle.

Grizzly is like, the best quality cheap chew. It's like 2.75 a can. I don't like skoal. I think it's for women.
Camels are like, $4.20 maybe $4.25. I'm not sure the price of anything else, the only other thing I buy is Dajarum Specials or a stogie every now and then.

Haha, that's wierd, Cigarettes are like, 2 dollars more than they are here, but chew is 2 dollars cheaper. I guess it's a little cheaper if you go to like Walmart or something.
Damn. All this talk about chew is makin me crave one but I'm out! I don't really want to go down to the store at midnight just for a dip. I knew I should of got a can when I got off work. Shit.

maybe more people dip where you're from then smoke, and vice versa where I'm from? Makes sense. Ahh I make sure I have cigarettes even before I make sure I have food.

Yeah, that's probably true. Everyone I know prefers dip. But a lot of them smoke too.

Well I was leaving work, and I was like, should I buy a can? And I figured I'd just come home and go to bed, so I'd just pick one up on the way to school tomorrow. But that was stupid because I never go right to bed when I come home.
