| Why even pay for a CD anymore when you can downlaod it for free. Its silly to even buy cd's anymore because Ipods are way past CD players. By downlaoding I mean legal downlaods like itunes and other such things,. | |

Über-Monkey 55910 points | | Becouse it's nice to actualy own a physical CD. If we download we miss out on the artwork. With CD's we can play them on cd players and lend them to people. And finally, downloading is illegal and stealing. |

Ogler 27340 points | it's stealing, stealing's illegal.
also it starts to put artists and music record companies out of buisness. |

Über-Meister 2165 points | Treebee, you can very simply add artwork to CD songs by dragging pics from the internet or
just clicking download album art on iTunes. |

Über-Monkey 55910 points | | Having the image on your computer aint the same as actualy owning the artwork though is it? If we move into a time when all we do is download, then classic images that apear on records will be forever lost. Main reason I still buy vinyl is for the artwork. |
alexkidd Captain Awesome! Über-Moderator 39176 points | he says he's talking about legal downloads,
but anyway i love the downloading vibe.
taking some power away from the record companies is a great reason to download!
seriously, they're not gonna go outta business.
but the accessability of music has loosened their stranglehold over creativity.
which was really getting to be a downer through-out the ninties.
