August 22, 2009 @ 03:29:51 am | My roommate is VERY self centered. She is a complete clean freak which is fine but I don't need someone churping in my ear constantly when I have more important things to focus on.
Not only that but today was our FIRST night in this dorm and she already has 2 yes TWO guys coming over to spend the night. One is her boyfriend and one is her boyfriends cousin. I know guys spending the night will be a part of college night and I probably should just suck it up and move on but it's our first night here. I NEVER met her before today (we did chat via facebook but that was all) and I feel like these first few nights should be us trying to get to know each other and get acquainted.
Am I being unreasonable here? Like I said I know guys staying the night in the dorms is invevitable but I feel like on the first night it should just be us two.  11 comments | Reply |

This just occured me to. I did awesome in highschool! Speech has done wonders for me. I graduated with a Honors Diploma and got a $1000 dollar scholarship from NHS for my hard work. Now, High School is officially over and I am out on the world on my own. This scares me a little. Mom and Dad can't be there at my beckoning call... speech is no more... most professors don't care if you are failing their class... money will be tight... I will have hardly any relaxing time because of studying.
I just realized that this is going to be a huge transition in my life and I better make the most of this last week before I've got to face the real world. Wow...  10 comments | Reply |

There are so many people on this site that I SHOULD know but I don't because lately I have only been getting on to check my PM's with my awesome New Zealand buddy David (OSM). I miss everyone and for all of you who don't know me yet... you will... very soon! I'm excited to be able to be a very active member on TFS again and be able to talk to new people and make more friends!

16638 points | I AM A STATE QUALIFIER!! YES!!!
February 08, 2009 @ 12:13:42 am | Today was our district tournament for Speech and Debate. This tournament qualifies you for states if you place and I qualified! I AM SO EXCITED!! The past two years I have been first alternate and now, this year, I made it. I've worked SO hard for this all season long.
States is March 5,6, and 7th and I am SO excited! What a great way to end my senior year of speech.
Our team placed second over all. I think our team had 33 state qualifiers total... I'm not 100% sure though. We had a LOT though. Our team took 39 people to districts so for 33 of us to qualify for states is amazing!
