A friend of mine from the school newspaper died.

I wasn't especially close with her but she was without a doubt part of a close circle of friends
who all worked together.

One of my friends even talked to her about eight hours before it happened.

She'd always just kind of wander into our newsroom, and she was always there giving advice,
or with four or five people gathered around telling one of her awsome stories.

It will be weird not having her just hanging out every once in a while.

It must have happened only 12 hours ago.

it's been a bad semester.
