Public entry Hostile catholic!?
March 29, 2008 @ 08:13:46 pm

So I wake up this morning to loud knockings on my front door. I know Missionaries tend to do that during the weekends and what not. I figured it would be another Jehovah's witness but boy was I wrong. It was a Catholic going door to door with a little card with the Virgin Mary on it and a few prayers on the back. He looked like a nice older gentleman and was polite at first. He asked the usual questions.. like "have you been saved and have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior?" I scoffed and smiled and told him I was a "Theist" and currently on my own path for the truth. then all of a sudden he turned hostile and began trying to push his beliefs off unto me. I told him that I respected that he was devout and all but not to confuse my beliefs or try to belittle them. I guess he thought I said "atheist" because he then said something to the effect of me and my godless ways were a ticket straight to hell. I gave him a very mean look and told him to please leave my property. then he had the audacity to say "this is God's property and I am a man of God!" I told him I was a man of my word and that I would Hurt him if he did not stop harassing me and would not leave in peace. I mean, the nerve of this guy! to show up at someones home and begin to throw religion to their face. He then made comments about me serving in the military and the cruel and horrific atrocities I have committed. To which i just had to laugh! I asked him if he knew what I did? and if he knew what i have been put through in life? I then decided to tell him i was excommunicated from his church for asking question and because I thought that his religion was full of s**t and that he is as much if not more guilty than i am for teaching blasphemy in his "God's" name. I knew I had offended him and began to give him brief and short history of the church and it's pagan traditions modified to Christianity. He tried to come back with a smart answer but I guess in the heat of the moment i stumped his thought process and I could tell that he was doubting himself. He then left screaming that "all of you atheist and non-believers have been condemned and there's no salvation for your wretched souls! have a nice time in hell!!"
SO AM I REALLY DESTINED TO HELL??
Just because I do not believe in folklore?
I know there are a lot of catholics who would look down upon this man but I have met numerous of these individuals from this very same religious practice..

Ahhhhh religion! The art of arguments! lmao!
Ah well, I was born and raised roman catholic and had been baptized, first communion, the whole nine yards, even serving as alter girl for a long while.
I began to ask questions, as any young religious teenager would, and my priest could not answer a good majority of them, and soon tired of me, so asked me to stop doing alter service. So I quit going to church altogether and started to question and doubt. I went through a bout of pagan, this, that, and even the next.
Today, I am a Christian. But I am very open to all religions. In fact, my husband doesn't believe in my religion, and that is fine with me. He's tried to change my way of thinking several times, however, I just say I believe it because it's your belief. Who am I to judge?
That's my motto when it comes to religion. Who am I to judge? You believe in this, I believe in that. As long as you are comfortable in your own belief, who am I to tell you that you are wrong? How do I even know you are wrong? How do I even KNOW that my God is the ONLY God that exists? Why, because the bible says so? I don't believe that. The God I believe in would tell me that I am not one to judge.
But I can't stand people that try to force their beliefs on me...
