I never write in my journal here, but today someone did something that actually bothered me enough to warrant it.
An otherwise generally reasonable poster accused me of saying something extraordinarily rude and insensitive. She said that I responded to her tale of domestic abuse by saying "get over it." She even used the quotes.
I never said any such thing. I repeatedly asked her to remove the post via PM, but she never did. I asked for an apology via PM, which I never received. The post was up for about 25 minutes, and she was online the entire time.
The thread was deleted, along with the offending post. And she has resumed starting new humorous threads without ever saying a word about the accusation.
I am very, very disappointed in this sequence of events, particularly the poster they came from - a poster who claims she prides herself on championing and treasuring politeness.
I don't want sympathy or anything, but I did want to express those sentiments. | |

Just forget her. Some people can't be reasoned with. There's one member who blocked me after he started an arguement with ME about how I should stop being a 'foot freak.' Needless to say, he didn't last long, but a few people liked him.  |

I know the feeling. People tend to suck but if you don't try to believe the best of them then you end up a bitter pessimist, distrusting everybody because one person wronged you. Don't wind up bitter because that would suck even worse. Mope about it for a little while, then shrug and move on. And don't go to sleep angry cos you generally wake up angry too. |

And just for the record! I am not in a click. Very independent thinker and jon and I have had our words but I would NEVER sit back and let anyone accuse him of something he is NOT.

You're smart, I know that, we all know that, but sometimes dude, you just need to step down. I feel like you try to prove you point way past it being friendly.
You push and push people and it's not right.
You're opinionated, very much so, and I can appreciate that, but sometimes I feel like you let intellect cover emotion, and sometimes you just don't know how to stop.
I appreciate you listening, I'm glad we can discuss how we feel in a mature and intelligent manner, even if we don't see eye to eye most of the time. |

You blatantly lied about something I said. Yes, I'm sure you believed it at the time, but when confronted with the fact that it wasn't true you put me on your block list and hid. And never said you may have been mistaken or that you were sorry.

I accidentally contradicted myself, and you put that in your signature in order to hurt me. It was blatant disrespect. There's not other reasoning, you certainly weren't trying to help me.
If it's not the case, and you weren't didn't have any ill feeling, you may PM me to explain why exactly you did it.
