Really needs to learn what food I like.
She got really really angry with me last night (I forgot to post some letter) and she's just said 'by way of apology I will cook you a meal you like, Mushroom Risotto'.
Risotto is one of very very few kinds of food I can't stand. Thing is I don't want to be dificult or not eat something my mum has cooked, so every time she cooks it I'm sort of forced to eat something I can't stand. How do I get her to know I can't stand the stuff, without seeming dificult or innapriciary? | |

I tried actually, but my mums on a diet and is therefore cooking all her food herself, whilst giving everyone whatever diet food she's eating.
I tried to hint that I wasn't in the mood for risotto, and that she could pick me up a pizza whilst she was buying her mushrooms and I'd cook the pizza, but she said 'Oh, no worries, you can have risotto too, I don't mind'. |

hmm, maybe go shopping with her, find out what food she's into eating, see if you like any of it and combine it kinda thing? Failing which you can always turn round and say you don't like risotto? hmmmm, try a stir fry or something, does she eat meat? chicken, peppers, small amount of onions etc. She can always have a small portion...oo I'm hungry now |

I'm an OK cook, I just need to figure out how to fit into her diet.
Ahh, less than a fortnight and I'll be out of this god-forsaken house again anyway. |

Über-Monkey 57216 points | | Haha, well I'm really really not picky, so I reckon my mum remembers all the countless things my sister doesn't like, and forgets the two things I don't. Unfortunately my sister loves risotto, so she probably assumes we both do. |
